Samantha + Taylor

A HOMEGROWN LOVE

Landing back where they’re meant to be

Although Samantha and Taylor weren’t high school sweethearts, they did attend the same school and had always been on one another’s radar. Additionally, they share mutual friends and their parents do business with each other, so it seemed destined their paths might one day become more entwined. They officially met at a popular hangout in their native Grand Cayman, where they reveal that a simple “hello” evolved into easy conversation that lasted for hours. “From that day forward,” they share, “we’ve been inseparable.” After the pandemic took their planning journey on many unexpected twists and turns, they finally pulled off a sensational wedding and reception at Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa.

Memorable Details

Originally, the pair was supposed to get married in Tennessee, yet Covid changed their plans multiple times, forcing them to continually start from scratch. After designing three different weddings in three separate locations, they ultimately found their way back to wedding planning in Grand Cayman. They say this was where they were meant to be — home.

On their special day, Samantha wore a Jenny Yoo gown (dress name: Eliza), while Taylor donned a Hugo Boss tux. Samantha’s favorite part was when she and her groom sent each other cards, notes and surprise gifts throughout the wedding day. The newlyweds spent their honeymoon night in a celebratory Oceanfront Suite, soaking in Caribbean Sea views.

The couple felt that the “amazing team” at Kimpton Seafire truly saw their vision from day one. Much to their delight, the staff welcomed them with open arms.

The couple declares the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa “such a beautiful hotel,” pointing out highlights like its jaw-dropping décor, delicious cuisine and ocean views that stole away the couple’s breath. However, they say, it was actually the people — the venue’s friendly and welcoming staff — that made their wedding and stay especially enjoyable.
